With sudden suspension of commercial LPG supply from Manimajra Gas Agency at Manimajra and many other stations in Andhra Pradesh, at least 800 customers are affected. The gas distribution company that runs the station has sent an SMS to all its stations to inform them of the suspension of supplies. It is believed that this is done as a preventive measure in the run up to elections in Andhra Pradesh which will see the ruling party securing its first ever mandate in the state. The reservoirs which store the LPG have a limited capacity and if they get stocked beyond a certain level, then the consequences could be disastrous for the owners. The gas supply from Manimajra is not the only gas distribution company in Andhra Pradesh however.
